Clifton Hill is well served by parks and gardens including Darling Gardens and Parksidestay are situated on Quarries Park. An attractive local shopping strip is located along Queens Pde on the border of N Fitzroy.

Dights Falls, in Clifton Hill is where the Merri Creek and Yarra River join and is a short walk from Parkside - kayaker and picnicers are found in this area - cycle paths are plenty which pass through the Collingwood Children's Farm found on the Yarra River Trail which follows the Yarra River from the city to Dights Falls, where it meets the Merri Creek Trail.
Studley Park an extensive parkland which merges with the larger Yarra Bend Park, contains Dights Falls and features a marvelous public golf course, sports grounds and areas of natural forest.
Cycling is a big attraction in this area and major off-road routes include Yarra River Trail, which runs through Clifton Hill, Moonee Ponds Creek Trail, Maribyrnong River Trail, Flemington Road, Dynon Road, Footscray Road, St Kilda Road.
Yarra Bend Golf Course
The Yarra Bend Golf Course is situated in Yarra Bend Park, Fairfield, only 4 km from the Melbourne CBD. Linking North and SouthHoddle St an urban highway runs beside Clifton Hill Railway Station is a major arterial road linking City Link and the Eastern Freeway.
